IT professionals and managers need to have a good understanding of the business or organisation for which they work. This is important for several reasons, including the following:

• It allows the CISO or cyber-security manager to understand the business’s mission and vision.
• It allows the CISO or cyber-security manager to understand how his or her department contributes to the overall success of the business.
• It allows the CISO or cyber-security manager to be able to communicate how his or her contributions provide capabilities to the other business units.
• It allows the CISO or cyber-security manager to communicate to his or her employees how their job activities align to the organisation.

In your primary Discussion Board post, explain the relationships that a CISO or cyber-security manager would need to have with others to be successful. Identify methods for effectively communicating with these groups, keeping in mind that the intended audience may not be familiar with technical terms that are common between IT personnel.
